by Noman Niedud
Wholesalers are reporting record sales of personal vibrators and other devices in Texas, with a sharp increase beginning right after the new Anti-Abortion bill became law in that state. At the same time, social media posts by Texas women indicate that they are putting the kibosh on sexual relations with men to avoid unwanted pregnancies and harassment by vigilantes dead-set on suing anyone providing or aiding women in obtaining pregnancy termination services.
Posting on Instagram, one Texas woman, with the screen name Tex Lysistrata, stated, "Men are nice to have around sometimes. But, when it comes to sex, they often leave me wanting something more than I get. By myself, I never seem to have that trouble. So, I'm switching to alternative methods, since men's part are often unreliable or get used incorrectly. I don't want anyone following me around, either, looking for evidence that I'm pregnant and seeking a way to not be. I can handle this myself, really."
Is this a growing trend? Mushrooming sales of personal vibrators and other popular sex toys make it seem so.
