(16,469 posts)I miss her, too!
Furthermore, when watching a particular show is part of one's regular routine, and it's suddenly not there with no warning, it can throw a person off. Watching Rachel is part of my regular routine, I always miss her when she's not on, and when she's not on for more than a day or two, I miss her even more. Nothing wrong with that. She's a habit with me. Habits are hard to break, and nobody enjoys having their routine involuntarily changed on them.
I of course always adjust, because I'm an adult, not a toddler. Doesn't mean I have to enjoy it or that I can't be glad when she comes back.

(102,327 posts)have been as bad as Fox on that score. Even-handed criticism of the Biden administration is fine, but they have gone over the line. Both of those guests were right on that score. I didn't watch the rest of the segment.

(5,681 posts)that it was going to be chaotic. I mean seriously. And the other guy blathered something which would infer it to have been Bidens fault that some people tried to cling to the outside of the plane. How careless of Joe not to have made a plan to make sure THAT never happened.

(63,912 posts)The sad truth is that it would be like this regardless of what Joe did as he stopped the action to get all those people out. It was a HUGE effort to begin with and Joe did the best we could imagine under the circumstances.

(31,236 posts)absolutely no replacement for Rachel. I don't know what they'll do with Rachel's nightly show when her new contract kicks in, but sounds like I'll be free at 9 p.m. whenever that happens.
Me.
(35,454 posts)I thought she'd see this week out. And how many of them will even show up Monday. Joy on the hand is taking on Ari's show too.

(2,276 posts)But Rachel is my favorite, watching her show is my nightly habit.

(205,731 posts)But I agree that Rachel is must-see. And Chris Hayes has really been stepping up to the plate as well as Lawrence O'Donnell who has the memory and the experience to put things in a historical context.
