Yup. Win 3 more Senate seats, and *then* you can say/do whatever you like to them. RockRaven Sep 2021 #4

Also, these two strange personalities are attention seekers. They want attention - positive or negative. Either or both works for them.

He’s talked about it multiple times how they’re involved in negotiations and crafting legislation.
If you mean about abolishing the filibuster, maybe it’s because he’s made it clear he doesn’t want to do that.

Biden was a Senator for decades; he knows better than anyone how it works, how to game its procedures, and how to negotiate. We can be pretty sure there's a lot going on behind the scenes, but there's only so far those two egomaniacs can be pushed.

They have both since published op-eds opposing the price tag of the reconciliation bill, but not the bill itself.

Once the senate reconvenes and Schumer brings the bill to the floor for amendments and debate, Manchin and Sinema will be in the hot seat and need to put up or shut up about the specifics of their objections and concerns. If they continue with their unique brand of attention seeking political theatre, then it may be time for another WH visit.

Until the bill is drafted and comes to the floor and Sinema and Manchin act, or fail to act, hand-wringing and teeth gnashing is unnecessary.

The issues of voting rights, abortion rights, and the filibuster are unlikely to be addressed until after the infrastructure bills have passed- at that point more arm twisting from Biden may be called for.

First things first.

W wanted a vote from James Jeffords real bad, at the time the Senate was split 50-50 with DICK making the tie breaking vote. W kept pushing and pushing James Jeffords for his vote.

James Jeffords after being a GOP for 26 years in both the house and Senate choose to switch parties giving the Dem control instead of giving in to W's
