Two years ago, climate change activitists stopped the Harvard-Yale Game after half time by
coming out and sitting down on the field after the Yale band marched off. Recounted in the NYT:

We learned later that Sam Waterston was there and was part of the protest.
I was there rooting for Yale and we waited while negotiations were being made on the field by the presidents of both schools and even the governors of MA and CT who were attending.
It got darker and darker (no lights in the Bowl) and our group realized that darkness would be unsafe and downright scary getting out of the parking lot.
When we left Harvard was ahead and we were convinced they had won. But no sooner did we get home but a friend called: the game was over and Yale won with two TDs. In the dark.
Last year Ivy League football was cancelled due to Covid but we're back to usual this year. And I wonder if we'll have more activism. Yale will host The Game this year and we have season tickets.
The only other big deal for me at least was the year that both Malia Obama and Paul McCartney were in attendance (Malia for Harvard, Paul for Yale). I didn't see them, unfortunately, but it was a BFD for us.
