...and any state pro-choice laws are therefore unconstitutional? You think that's impossible? I don't. That's what they're aiming for, and this "court" has no integrity or patriotism...

They've proven they have no legitimacy, so stop viewing them as having any. Let them try to enforce their fascist rulings.

abortion as a right. It's a little different then codifying it, but it's solid.

First published June 5, 2019:

Illinois is about to become the second state in 2019 to protect abortion rights and ensure that abortion remains legal in the state even if Roe v. Wade is undermined or overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. This move is all the more significant at a time when other states, including some that neighbor Illinois, have undertaken an all-out assault on abortion rights and access.

The soon-to-be-signed bill declares reproductive health care—including abortion, contraception, sterilization, and pregnancy and maternity care—a fundamental right in Illinois. The bill prohibits the state as well as local jurisdictions from interfering with individuals’ reproductive health decisions, including those of individuals in state custody. It is a clear statement of respect for the reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy of all Illinois residents.

ensuring access in the state.

Vermont doesn't have any state law yet, but they're voting on a provision to codify it next year.

Not sure about Jersey.

The future of reproductive healthcare in NM if Roe v. Wade is overturned
By Susan Dunlap

Currently, the state has protections in place. In addition to the Respect New Mexico Women and Families Act, which Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signed into law this year, the state also has an equal rights amendment which Rushforth said would protect abortion access in the state.

The New Mexico courts ruled in 1998 that “any restrictions [on abortion access] should be deemed unconstitutional under the equal rights amendment,” Rushforth said.

in 2019 stated that abortion was a legal right in this state. Apparently, and I do not know how this works, it is only good until 2022. I know the R's are raising a stink all the time whooping people up and abortion will be voted on I believe soon. I wish I knew how this all works. I thought we were safe from having our rights voted on because of the SCOK but I guess not. I can tell you that when Texas women start making their way here the screaming and crying and anger and sobbing over poor unborn cells will ramp up into a real feeding frenzy. No way we keep our bodily rights if they allow a vote.
