In this case, and my comment was confined to this case only, she used a term specific to the argument. It means something to that person because it is within the frame of reference of the topic.

This seems to be another point of confusion for you. You have conflated the use of such a term in one situation with the larger argument. You jump to the conclusion that everyone is doing this and then, of course, you pass your moral judgment that “this is wrong.” This, IMO, is what makes the left come off as sanctimonious. It does nothing to advance our cause, and as such, hinders it.
