1. The law is being reduced to chaos, has no meaning

I remember thinking this when it turned out there was nothing they could actually charge the Enron swindlers with. Things are immeasurably worse now. Both moral law and human law are being twisted and turned inside out by people who value nothing but power. A civil society can't survive that for very long.

2. The fabric of the legislators devising law is what's gone wrong.

In Scripture (loosely translated): 'They frame iniquity and call it law.'

Enron. That was a biggie. How many got rattled to do something about it?

3. It was said (?) along the line of: Republic--nice work if you can keep it.

There will be a resolution. What that'll look like, I don't know. Some trepidation accompanies my wondering.
