Apparently some of the families who went to Dover Air Force Base to receive the bodies of their loved ones felt Biden spent too much time talking about the death of his son Beau and not about the loss of their loved ones.

Biden was there to honor their loss and some expressed feelings and opinions that their loss should have been what Biden concentrated on.

So f*** and s*** all you want.

At least in that one story The New York Times appears to have reported sentiments expressed there by the grieving families and published in a number of outlets.

that some of the families had expressed the opinion that Biden should have spent more time on their losses than his own, that NYT headline was incredibly insensitive to him, IMO. The reason he brings up Beau's death so often is not to diminish other people's losses but to show that he understands what they're going through.

By the way, they have since changed that headline after having received backlash, so it's clear many people felt the same way as the OP and me about it.

13. It's a rule never to give the benefit of the doubt to a Democrat. In this case, that Biden

wanted to share his experience of loss with others going through the same thing. If that had happened to a Republican president it NEVER would've been mentioned. Like, when the Bush administration stopped any press coverage of dead soldiers returning to the U.S., weren't there many families upset about that? Press didn't care.

They must turn a profit. Their loyalty is to their advertisers—they pay the salaries. Tens of millions of Americans are weasels who voted for Trump. So the NYT still must contain 10% weasel news to be objective.

I’m not a weasel, but hearing what the weasels are saying is better from the NYT than right-wing propaganda outlets disguised as commercial media. It gives context to non-weasels like all of us.

You have to take the bad with the good. Most of what is called news is schlock. It's just churned out like fast food, using cheap-as-possible processes and supply lines. That forces opinion into the news since it is so cheap and so readily available. And, as in the case with most "news" reporting on the Afghanistan withdrawal, opinion is mostly mediocre and cursed by groupthink.

is pushing booster shots when he shouldn't be, yada, yada, yada. All this will do is give more fodder to the anti-vaxxers to continue their incubation of new variants. If Biden gets ahead of himself, it's only because he doesn't want us to die a slow, agonizing death. Maybe I'm in my libtard bubble, but I don't recall her bashing Trump for having no vaccine plan beyond throwing large piles of taxpayer dollars at drug companies to hurry them up - or any other plan for Covid - and doing all he could to spread the disease. Biden faced zero plan for distribution when the vaccine finally appeared and then he's hit with crazies who will willingly take horse dewormer first. All things considered, I think he's doing very well given what he's up against.
