(1,368 posts)I was on another site and this woman was saying "So its your stance that a born pregnant woman should have the right to decide whether a non born baby is allowed to live?" And I just can't...I can't even say how stupid that is!

(1,910 posts)The odd thing is that Repugs never intend for even one civil case to actually be brought into court. That would open it up to all sorts of cross suits, medical records fights, and civil rights challenges and the law would be exposed as a sham. So they want to scare tactic the providers while never actually expose the law to legal challenges.
Yet they have now awaken a rage and determination among a vast swath of the population, motivated Dems and Independents for the midterms that they might have been blase about before.
Seems like they may regret their 'victory' as it will lead to much bigger losses going forward.
