the Hippocratic OathA doctor in South Miami, Florida said she is refusing to treat any unvaccinated patients in person because it is "not fair" on others, Newsweek reported.
Dr. Linda Marraccini said she decided to implement the policy, which will go into effect on September 15, because she has other patients who are immunocompromised or in chemotherapy and does not want to expose them to the virus in her clinic.
"It's not fair for people who are unvaccinated to harm other people," Marraccini, who continued to see all of her patients in person during the pandemic, told Newsweek.

"The Hippocratic Oath is very science-based. I am following the science. I'm applying this to the benefit of the sick," she said.

(10,279 posts)yourself to me for assessment and further development of my personal treatment plan for you.
If you refuse to get vaccinated, you have rejected my treatment plan for you. So, move along.
your interpretation - sounds reasonable to me.

(778 posts)So thank you for posting this. It saved me from hunting for a story. What this lady is doing is absolutely right and more doctors should consider this. She is still offering Medical Care long distance and that is all she should be required to do. With all the medical professionals who have gotten covid from being around those infected, I don't blame her one bit. She probably has a family she doesn't want to bring it home to also. Before the vaccine, this would have been the wrong thing to do, but not under these conditions.
Treating lgbtq or anyone else that someone wants to be prejudiced against is a totally different thing. There would be no greater risk on getting a disease then from heteros.

(792 posts)Our responsibility is to exile the unvaxxed from progressive society until the mandate is passed.
As soon as they want to rejoin us, they are free to get the vaccine and then will be able to begin the process of re-integration.

Obviously most christians are sensible, but it needs stating to be clear. However, it seems that the more militant and "-stanish" the christians are, the more likely they are to refuse the vaccine.
It makes perfect sense to me that doctors should focus on helping those who help themselves, take care, listen, take note of real science, ultimately trust the doctors and nurses.
