"Interesting times."

The Palmer Report is viewed skeptically by many here, I know, but it often contains real gems of insight and eloquence. Robert Harrington is my favorite contributor in that department and the primary reason I maintain the subscription. Take, for example, this morning's article, in which he discusses forces at work in the country (and the world) today, the root of the struggle between democracy and authoritarianism, and our collective trajectory dependent on that struggle.
