Parents don’t want kids to fall behind. This year there is no zoom to log into if you are at home.
10 days is a lot to miss for some kids. I think this has added to parents sending their kids sick to school.

My guess would be nothing. Better to keep them home in bed until they’re well again.

Of course that might be less convenient for the parent, so there’s that.

They’re entitled to do whatever they want, and no one can stop them. If you don’t like the results, tough. Their rights are more important than anyone else’s, even when their actions cause illness, school closures, or even severe illness and possibly death for some kids. I’ve been following several threads about their “rights” on my local Nextdoor. The privilege just jumps off the page. The excuses are all about “me.” My rights. My decision. Even the governor says no masks. My kids (and the unstated corollary of I don’t care what happens to your kids—they’re your problem). I need to stop reading these posts—they’re not only depressing but also testimony that we have a population in this country that will never do anything for the common good. That does not bode well for the next pandemic, and there will be one. We’re destroying wild animal habitat, and their diseases are being transferred to humans at a faster pace.

(emphasis mine)

"Deep cleaning", as many here on the east coast found out from last year, is not going to solve the problem. It's spread in the air. Send a sick kid to school and they will pass it on to other kids as well as the teachers and other school staff, who can potentially get sick themselves, and bring it home to their own families.

NYC (initially much to the delight of subway riders in NYC) were literally cleaning/disinfecting every car every day -

Other cities were doing the same (I think we were doing it here in Philly although probably not at the frequency of NY, although I think we were doing the buses and trolleys every day).

Didn't seem to make any difference although the people who used them finally could ride them without all the spit and gum and spilled food and urine smells.

The secret society favored by the elites such as members of the Bush family.

The tenet taught by S&B to its initiates is this: "WITH CHAOS COMES OPPORTUNITY"

Seriously. Think about it, applied to politics, to governance and to profitability in business.

WITH CHAOS COMES OPPORTUNITY.

except for the fact that most parents probably have no choice- between their job and sick children. The blame for having to make that choice falls on the state of employment laws in their states and localities, which, given that it's Texas we're talking about, I can imagine that most employers aren't likely to be very charitable/flexible for parents with sick children.
