the idiot repukes are trying to tie Gov. Kelly's (D) hands on preventing sickness.
Basically we are supposed to teach regular but have teams on and maybe assign a "buddy teacher" while we still teach our in person kids.
This is BULLSHIT

(51,584 posts)said that the in-person as well as remote learning situations last school year were so difficult. They also said the kids lost a year of education. This year is in-person and masks are required by everyone on site, indoors and outdoors with the option of remote learning. There are separate teachers this year (for remote and for in-person) which has helped a lot. Only about 3% requested the remote learning and feel that masking inside and outside is the way to go.

(34,059 posts)All of mine for the past year have been hybrid. 1/3 to 1/2 present in the classrom, the remainder online.

(35,296 posts)Hybrid's nixed. Can't do it. Can't teach kids in person *and* teach kids online.
We can teach kids in person and put stuff for them online, to be completed under the supervision of an online teacher.
It's a nuisance, but it means that it's not hybrid. Some students are remote but I don't have to deal with them. I just deal with the majority in person.

(34,059 posts)Is the online teacher running classes or just grading work. If it is the latter, that stinks since it means they aere basically teaching themselves.

(21,111 posts)It was so hard and complicated to get the technology. And I am a person not afraid of learning New tech. I am subbing for the first time this school year the week of the 13th. It will be interesting. Personally I think the kids should be allowed to do a make up year.
