(7,429 posts)I have a Bachelor of Arts in Influencing. I went to the College of Influencing Sciences at my local university. I can also take courses remotely. The costs of education in the College of Influencing are... well... negotiable. It depends on one's ability to influence.
SO MUCH INFLUENCING!

(6,799 posts)When you're on the receiving end of tribal condemnation and shunned as an alien , a "them", your perspective tends to shift from self satisfied to a truer understanding of societal exclusion.

(35,619 posts)I don't watch him a lot but when I do watch him I have not seen the Biden bashing. I'm sure he does so, though. I believe you.
However, I think that many of these hosts plus comedians had a very superficial take on what they saw on the Afghanistan evacuation. It took a while but a few of them came around. Our local NPR even had a show that was just brilliant: it was "OK you can do better? How would you handle the evacuation." Callers phoned in with their ideas and there were some experts who called who explained why a lot of these things wouldn't work. I might go back and listen and post that show if it's worth it.
Bill Maher is a good example. No doubt about it, he is very smart and he is very witty. He hates republicans with a venom that would rival any of us. But in the name of "fairness" he often makes fun of Democrats, sometimes justified but many of the times not. He does not have an indepth look at the news.
And I don't think that's just my leftie bias showing, either.
Of course, I understand that not every talk show host or comedian can spend time on a board like this to read articles and learn more about issues. But we know that many talk show hosts do, so a little more reading and understanding time before someone shoots off his/her big mouth would be good.
