Justice delayed is justice denied?

Given enough time, people can forget about everything. People have forgotten there were civilizations buried under the sands of the Sahara.

Run out the clock. People will forget or their memories will become foggy. They will forget the seriousness of crimes committed if given enough time.

Those that attacked our Capitol and those that incited them to do so committed a very serious crime.

But, will time diminish the traitorous act?

With enough time, will people put it in the back of their minds and someday forget that it happened at all?

That is the problem with "justice delayed is justice denied". There may be no justice at all?
