it will be followed or enforced.
My daughter just found out that a co-worker in the same suite as she works tested positive a few wks. ago. The company didn't notify people who worked with the sick person. My daughter wears a mask 100% at her office, is vaccinated and got tested the week before we went on a vacation together and was negative. I sure hope she doesn't get sick.
Her company has Covid protocols in place, but they aren't following or enforcing them. What the hell good does it do anyone who is trying to avoid getting sick or making other people sick, if people they have to be around won't even try?

(30,613 posts)We are almost all working from home. Which is fine by me. I know that's not possible in many kinds of business; I do feel very grateful I can do that.

(16,949 posts)Yet, someone who had symptoms came to work, tested positive 2 days later. And none of the coworkers were informed. Until this summer, most employees, including my daughter worked from home. Now, they have to divide their time between home and work.
I'm glad your company is protecting its employees.

(14,624 posts)I thought I might have to go back to the office today because of the power outages in New Orleans (our office has power.) I pitched a fit on Friday when I found out that one of my coworkers has not been vaccinated and no one has been wearing masks in the office. Apparently, no one else complained, not even my boss. After I raised hell, my boss assured me that if I had to go the office, everyone would stay inside their own offices, with doors closed, or wear masks.
Luckily my power was restored over the weekend, so I am still working from home.
There was an incident with another employee not wearing a mask outside their office, and having respiratory symptoms as well. She not only complained, but asked to complete her hours at home for that day. They let her leave. She hasn't gotten a reply from that complaint.
It sounds so difficult to live in the places affected by Ida. When we've lost power because of storms, we were lucky to get it back in 24 hrs. Glad you got your power back!

(16,949 posts)I fixed the error. I don't know why, but often I miss typing a contraction. I don't know if I'm typing those keys too lightly, or if I'm thinking quicker than I type
