A Buick convertible, no less!! And I LOVE that you can see the brick street (Saginaw Street is red brick) and that the photo was taking in front of one of Flint's wonderful Coney Island restaurants. How convenient that this one was actually named 'Coney Island'.

My father had a buick from that era.

(26,177 posts)We had a neighbor who was a big wig at Chevrolet and he'd get my dad really good deals on 'courtesy cars'. Always at the low end of the scale - as I recall a Biscayne or Belair. My mom was a 'stay at home' mom and dad was a teacher/football coach who worked 3rd shift plant protection, during the summer, for extra money so that was a dream way to get a "new" car.
You'll notice that the Coney Island Restaurant sign says 'hamburg' in two places.
