... it should also exempt one from being hospitalized for Covid.
A friend of mine can't get a hospital bed for a heart blockage because of non vaxxed Covid patients.

(2,475 posts)My guess is many of those claiming a religious exemption are not members of one of the relatively small number of churches that prohibit vaccines.
If the religious exemption is legit however, and the person has a history of involvement with that church, and that person comes down with covid, of course they should be treated.

Your doctor can administer horse dewormer with no hassle from a hospital.

(81,111 posts)get to be treated in a tent OUTSIDE the hospital. Like a MASH unit. Where they can really be isolated but can get treatment. Where the hospital beds and the surgical rooms and the most staff is devoted to OTHER people with OTHER illnesses and needs to be hospitalized. For surgeries - both scheduled and emergency. Accidents. Heart attacks and seizures. And the like.
And so the occasional COVID sufferer who WAS vaccinated and DID play by the rules and take the precautions seriously and then still got into health trouble can have the full in-hospital care. Because the negligent wouldn't be taking up all the beds!
I've run out of patience. I've run out of "understanding" (see, you gotta UNDERSTAND these folks because SCREW-'EM!!! And WHO-THE-FUCK-CARES-BY-NOW???

Here in Australia, parts are locked down and serious rules about public gatherings apply.
But a whole bunch of Jewish people decided to get together to celebrate something, anyway.
No masks, no social distancing, it's religion, right? It's tradition, right?
Police moved in, broke it up, took names, handed out $5K fines.
Now, how many were vaccinated? How many will claim religious exemption? And how many will need chasing up for non payment of fines?
Got to laugh. Or cry.
