Trump at Iowa State Fairgrounds, right in the middle of the Planned Parenthood Booksale

The volunteer-run Planned Parenthood of North Central States Booksale is the largest and oldest booksale in the country. It funds PP education. After being canceled in 2020, it's scheduled for October 7-11, 2021.

Now, that fucker Trump has scheduled a rally at the fairgrounds on October 9.

This is a disaster that the Fair Board should have seen coming - belligerent Trumpers/gun nuts/fascists and Planned Parenthood supporters/progressives/book lovers all within a couple of blocks of each other and sharing parking lots.

I hope PP is on this.

The pay-per-view...er..."news media" is well aware of this...and they LOVE IT. Another solid 2 week block of thoughtless, depthless, mindless "news coverage" pre-built and ready to heat and serve.

WE once had giants in news - Cronkite, Wallace, Brinkley, Murrow. We now have gnats and ankle biters and wastes of oxygen with precious few exceptions left. The majority of coverage is despicable tripe or worthless tribal talking past points.

This manufactured situation is intentional and worse yet completely unsurprising any more.

4. Our annual PP Book Sale will be Sept 16-26 at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara...

It is a fabulous event — I just haven’t been able to make it since I moved 40 miles away. >sigh< The best thing was coming over every day to see what was being put out that day.

I am truly sorry for PP of North Central States. This is fubar. This needs a lawyer to make a pointed call to the Fairgrounds management.
