I don't know if I have read a more cogent argument for Obama and against Romney.

In praise of President Obama:

"Therefore, our endorsement must go to the incumbent, a competent leader who, against tough odds, has guided the country through catastrophe and set a course that, while rocky, is pointing toward a brighter day. The president has earned a second term. Romney, in whatever guise, does not deserve a first."

This is brilliant stuff.

Does anybody know the history of the Salt Lake Tribune? Do they generally endorse Dem or Rep candidates?
(I suppose I could Google that )

Salt Lake has many federal offices and some business centers which draw out of staters. Ogden has some businesses and transportation centers.

Salt Lake sometimes manages to have a Democratic mayor.

The Tribune is the liberal leaning paper, the Deseret News is the Mormon voice.

While I was attending the U of U, I met a few students who had never (previous to going to college) met a non-Mormon. Strange place.
