A consertive person I know asked me if I had planned for a disruption in services and stocked food

and water, I like this person but we are very divided in politics, we keep the convos about other things

I was a boyscout but never made it past 'tenderfoot"

for that matter)

Being prepared for natural or man-made disasters is common sense…within reason.

We could make our food last a month, maybe two if we stretched it. A weeks water plus a means to filter more, keep the gas tanks full, a little bit of hard cash. No big deal…just common sense I think.

I think it doesn’t hurt to be prepared, I also have fuel and two generators, along with firearms and ammo for self defense (I did 20 years in the military). If you are prepared the worst thing that could happen is you don’t need it.

I stock food as I have done all my life. When it is cheap, plentiful or in season I can it up, stock it up etc. Space is limited now so on any one thing I stick to about 4 months worth if the price is right.

Then make him name a date by which it's all going to go down. Specific date, specific prediction (e.g., Donald Trump will be publicly reinstated as president of the United States by October 1st, 2021). Have him sign it, then bet him a hundred dollars it won't happen. You might as well make some coin off his foolishness. After you collect, offer him a chance to win his money back with another delusional prediction.

The Storm is the upcoming event when Donald Trump will be restored to the presidency. Or all the alien lizard politicians will be arrested. Or all the pedophile Illuminati will be arrested. Or something like that.

They are being serious. This is what your friend is excited about. Your friend is a bad person, they are excited about mass executions of liberals, including you. Get that? They are excited about you being slaughtered.

They thought they were going to shine during the early days of Covid; they had fantasized about this happening, world turmoil that would cause a world breakdown, and they in their bunkers with 2 years worth of cornflakes and canned beans would be the ones to emerge and lead during the great unrest.

A funny thing happened; people stayed inside, shared bread-making recipes, and watched a lot of Netflix.

Our society did not collapse then and will not collapse tomorrow; this is a fever dream of stunted manbabies who don't know how to win any other way.

for disruption of services, have food, water and first aids kits etc., I admit I'm not prepared. I've tried but never succeeded in being prepared with much more then having flashlights handy and a few other things.

I read where you should have at least 3 days because that's how long first responders take to get there.

Shit happens. Prepare for emergencies to. It's just common sense, and it's not difficult to do so. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Regardless of what RW wackos may predict.
