Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) for more information about $3.5 million in contributions to her re-election campaign.
In two filings posted to the FEC website on Monday and surfaced on Twitter by Georgia Public Broadcasting reporter Stephen Fowler on Tuesday, the congresswoman's husband Perry Greeneher campaign treasurer was asked to provide additional details about donations the campaign received during the first two quarters of 2021.
Between January and March, the Greene campaign received $2,558,631.61 in unitemized donations from undisclosed donors, while the campaign received another $967,045.73 in unitemized donations between April and June. The campaign reported a total of more than $4.5 million in donations during the same time period.
Candidates are not legally obliged to itemize donations or disclose the identity of their donors for contributions that total under $200 during an election cycle. For donations that do need to be itemized, campaigns must supply details including the name of the donor, the donor's address, occupation, employer and the date of the donation must be provided.
I'm sure the FEC is blatantly picking on Empty Greene because she's such an important right-wing asset.

(3,471 posts)In 1954, as segregationist organizations were springing up all over the South in response to Brown vs. Board of Education, the chief of police and a Baptist minister in Plains, Ga., visited a peanut farmer at his warehouse and urged him to join the local White Citizens' Council. The farmer refused. The men returned a few days later and told the farmer he was the only white man in Plains who hadn't signed up. That didn't change his mind. The men returned a third time with some of the farmers customers, who threatened to boycott his business. If he couldn't afford the $5 dues, they would lend it to him. "I've got $5," the farmer responded. "And I'd flush it down the toilet before Id give it to you."
The farmer, in case you haven't guessed, was Jimmy Carter....

(54,349 posts)They didnt itemize because 35000 donors in her district gave $100, so no reporting was required. If you believe THAT one, I have her Nobel Prizes for literature and physics to show you.

(6,911 posts)This undisclosed list of deplorables contains every moron who aided and abetted the January 6th insurrection. I want to see those peoples names, too. If anyone in my neighborhood contributed I want to boycott their business and social circle.
I have rights, too. I wanna know who is contributing to her, thats why its the law.

(5,523 posts)these contributions probably wont be used in any way for election purposes. I read that even though TLG raised records amounts of money for 2020, the campaign was running out of money. MTG will use it for herself also.
