Prices are rising because pay is. And though most corporations could easily absorb the increased cost of labor but
since than can easily explain that labor costs "caused" the increase...

prices are up because of the natural disasters...drought in the west, especially central California valley, breakdowns in infrastructure due to storms, floods, and fires closing roads and destroying bridges.

Oh, and covid. Suppliers are having trouble staffing the supply chain.
