Leaving Afghanistan wasn't a surprise to them.
There were choices made by those US citizens who stayed behind. They received multiple notifications and chose not to heed them.
So, if you think that it went badly, what do you want?
Do you want the US to return to Afghanistan forever?
To declare war in order to "rescue" people who KNEW what was going down and chose not to do anything about it?
