I guess I've been running with the thought the existentialism = hedonism?

Not that there's anything wrong wrong with that...just a "form" of nihilism.??

Existence is first, then “essence” is gained. Nothing/no one has an essence until after it exists. God does not bestow a worth or essence upon you…you create it.

You are responsible for every circumstance/reaction/experience that you have. If you are a prisoner, you are a prisoner by choice…even if the imprisonment is unjust.
