each forum on DU has a behind-the-scenes designation of "political" or "non-political" -- you can see the effect of this on the DU3 Latest page by changing the second "Show" (Relevance) drop-down menu in the black bar at the top of the page.
The Latest Videos page has this ability too, so you can simply switch between political and non-political if you like. Also, it's not programmed yet, but we should have the ability to filter by forum category, so if you wanted to see videos just from "Issue Forums" or "Culture Forums" you could do that.
For an even more fine-tuned approach, there's always the "Trash Forum" option.
FWIW, if I set the toggle to "Political" on the Latest Videos page right now, I get these as the top 20 threads:
