1 New Jersey
2 Mississippi
3 New York'
4 Louisiana
5 Massachusetts

No clear pattern when we look at deaths rather than infection. I realise that is since the start of the plague. But we need to look at the real numbers sometimes even if it doesn't allow us to toot our own horns so loudly. As a country, we are all in this together.

And LA will pass NY.

NJ, NY & MA are all going to be overtaken by red states in the coming weeks.

FL & TX will both be in the Top 10 by the time all is said and done. FL is going to be at #12 in Deaths within the next couple of weeks. TX is farther behind, but is putting out such high #'s, that it will start leapfrogging states.

it's not surprising that the hardest hit states were the ones that got hit first and hardest back when we didn't even know what was hitting us. PP&E shortage, limited testing, contradictory medical advice, few to no treatment options, etc. The deaths that occurred back during the early portion of this pandemic are far different than the ones the mostly Republican, science-denying states are experiencing now.
