.."ad hoc hypothesis". It's a hypothesis added to a theory to save the theory's validity...something like that. For GOP politicians, it's simply a nonsensical, irrational, rationalization to justify an obscene piece of legislation put in place solely for a GOP opportunist's political benefit...

Texas' Abbott said the 6 week cap on abortions resulting from rape won't be a problem for victims because Texas is going to eradicate incidences of rape...gonna' go after all the rapist and put 'em jail. Yeah, just arrest all the sicko perverts who have a sign hanging around their necks saying, "Hello...I am a rapist."

2. If Abbott thinks he can eliminate rape, why hasn't he done it already?

And apparently he thinks abortions can be made unnecessary simply by arresting and prosecuting all rapists before they rape anybody, and I don't know how that's supposed to work, since if a man has never raped anybody he's not a rapist, and if he has and the woman gets pregnant it's too late.

Abbott is a malicious idiot, but we knew that...
