All police officers should be required to carry liability insurance and it should come out of their pay AFTER taxes, just like auto insurance. The more incidents they have, the higher their premiums, just like auto insurance.

Make it so assholes like this simply can not afford to be cops.

...it won't break the bank (I.e. General Budget). I doubt their property taxes will go up due to this settlement. No, that's not right, I know that property taxes won't be going up $3,000,000 for the next evaluation period. And trash collection won't double either.

The police certainly fucked up and were criminal in their behavior. That's how things like this should be treated. As criminal acts too.

I hope they also have to pay the people whose dog they shot.

Maybe this is the only way to get taxpayers to pay attention to what the cops are doing.

Fuck those assholes.

They should have their ability to carry a badge and a gun revoked forever and be charged with felony assault causing grievous bodily injury.
