Millions of Americans don't see the threat to our freedoms

Yes, I'm talking about the threat posed by the Republican Party, as well as those who fund/own them, and the street thugs they use to inflict random violence. IMO, most, (but not all), here on DU see it and "get it."

Using their "Big Lie" as leverage, Republicans have been gearing up to steal the 2022 and 2024 elections. And, because elected Democrats won't get down in the mud, the Republican fascists have a good chance of succeeding.

I've done posts similar to this before and there are always some here who ask me, "Well what do you suggest we do?" Want something specific? Okay, here goes:

No more Mr. Nice Guy. Manchin, Sinema (and a few others) are blocking the death of the filibuster (which would help create a level playing field). Blackmail their asses. (How do you think Lyndon Johnson got Medicare, Medicaid and the Voting Rights Act through a congress controlled by Democrats?) Everyone has something they don't want made public and Manchin, Sinema, et. al., are no different. Use what's there, back them into a corner, and coerce them into helping to kill the filibuster.

So am I suggesting we become the "bad guys?" To a degree, yes. Republicans are at "war" with us and they intend to destroy our democracy. You don't win "wars" by sticking with rules that your enemy is spitting on. So, yeah. Let's be the "bad guys." Civility needs to be temporarily put on hold. And don't worry about "getting our civility back." Just how "civil" do you suppose the fascist/wingnut Republican Party would be if they win? You can set your clock by how soon their "Reeducation Camps" would start appearing.

Okay, there's one idea of how to battle the miserable pricks who are out to destroy America. It ain't pretty. But either we get ruthless, or our way of life and all of our freedoms will soon be gone.

3. Yup. Also, include major "carrots" for WV and AZ, well-publicized in those states.

Voters in WV and AZ will be informed that their Senator is keeping billions of dollars in family help, jobs, etc out of their states because the Filibuster and Republican victory are more important to them than voters' needs.

6. Yes; it's a messy inconvenience if you are a billionaire.

Freedom is priceless for the little people.
For billionaires, it's a commodity they can buy and sell.

8. I don't think you'll commit any crime (blackmail) that could land you in prison for quite awhile.

And thus I don't think you'll ever become a bad guy. Bad guys risk imprisonment.

I think you'll continue to be like most of us. Law abiding, play by the rules, peaceful citizens who vent on social media and/or attend a protest on occasion.
