Welcome back to the Top 10 Conservative Idiots! What’s up Santa Ana, how you guys doing? You doing fucking good? Great! It is good to be home after our first road trip of the post-COVID era. So last week I attended the Foo Fighters concert in Inglewood and while it was awesome they did something really cool at the end. Last year there was a 11 year old kid named Nandi Bushnell from England who challenged Dave Grohl to a drum off, and the video went viral. Anyway Dave accepted and they had recorded a series of videos together through last year. But last week – Dave brought her up on stage during the show’s finale to play their classic Everlong and you know what? She nailed it! That was one of the coolest things ever, man do I love the Foo Fighters! We may also have them stop by later on. But OK enough of the intro, we have a lot of idiocy to get to. So where do we begin this week? Well in the number one slot this week is the State Of Texas (1). They just wrapped up their 2021 legislative session and passed a whopping 666 laws – all of which are insane and not just a tribute to Iron Maiden. In the second slot this week is our old buddy Joe Rogan (2). So if you haven’t been following this story – Joe got COVID after hawking ivermectin, which is a horse deworming medication that’s not approved for use in humans, but he’s taking it anyways. In the number 3 slot is anti-vaxxers (3) because they are insane and they’re taking the fight against mask and vaccine mandates to your local school board, and things are getting very ugly. FML. In the number 4 slot this week is the GOP (4). They want to know the truth about our complicated and messy withdrawl from Afghanistan? OK fine we’ll tell you and we won’t have to hold and endless amount of senate hearings about it either. In the number 5 slot this week is the Capitol Riots (5) – we’ll bring you some of our favorite rioters who got arrested and get you ready for the second round of hearings! Taking the number 6 slot this week is our weekly visit to the Holy Church Of The Top 10 in “Holy Shit” (6) and this week, our resident pastor is increasingly alarmed at the Christian right’s increasing hysteria in overturning the 2020 election and they’re getting violent. Yeah it’s time to be afraid! In the number 7 slot this week is a new This Fucking Guy (7) and this week we’re profiling batshit crazy MAGA lifestylist, former UFC champion, and former Huntington Beach mayor pro temp Tito Ortiz (7) and whew, this fucking guy is batshit crazy! Sigh… the state of Texas is one of the reasons why we can’t have nice things in this country. Last week they passed a whopping 666 new laws, all of which are completely insane and the furthers the Fox News-ification of America. And next week I promise we will go through some of the more insane laws, which include things like banning vaccine passports, forcing sports teams to play the national anthem, shielding insurance companies from car accidents, and literally criminalizes being homeless. Yes that happened. But none of those are what I want to talk about this week. Specifically I want to talk about one law. Yes, that one. The abortion law. And its’ subsequent laws. These are quite literally batshit fucking crazy and if they go before SCOTUS, god help us all. Please hold your boos before I get into the meat of this.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott defended his state's strict new abortion law, saying that it doesn't force victims of rape and incest to carry their pregnancy to term because it "provides at least 6 weeks for a person to be able to get an abortion."
At the signing for a GOP-supported voting bill on Tuesday, a reporter asked Abbott why he would "force" a rape or incest victim to carry a pregnancy stemming from sexual assault to term. The new abortion law, which went into effect last week, outlaws abortion when a fetal heartbeat is detected — as early as 6 weeks into pregnancy and well before many women even know they are pregnant.
The governor responded that the bill "doesn't require that at all because, obviously, it provides at least 6 weeks for a person to be able to get an abortion."
He also emphasized that "rape is a crime and Texas will work tirelessly that we eliminate all rapists from the streets of Texas by aggressively going out and arresting them and prosecuting them and getting them off the streets."
The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that in 2019, there were more than 14,650 cases of rape reported in the state, making up nearly a quarter of all reported violent crimes. That same year, fewer than 3,900 people were arrested for rape and other sex offenses, according to the department.

What could go wrong? That seems to be a common theme with all the entries this week. But what could go wrong? Well this has set off a category 5 shit storm because as you know, the worst president in United States history got not one, not two, but three fucking SCOTUS lifetime appointments. But in doing so, the court’s majority did not specifically pass judgment on the merits of the law — which sets up unique and possibly unconstitutional enforcement mechanisms dependent on private citizens using the courts.
“I think the Supreme Court will swat it away once it comes to them in an appropriate manner,” Cassidy (R-La.) said on ABC’s “This Week.”
“If it's as terrible as people say it is, it‘ll be destroyed by the Supreme Court,” Cassidy said. He added that the Supreme Court had rejected the challenge last week because those who brought the lawsuit didn’t have “standing” to do so, meaning they didn’t have a sufficient stake in the case to file a challenge to the law.

This law gives Uber and Lyft drivers the ability to rat out their clients if you are using their vehicles and drivers to drive to an abortion clinic. That’s right – if you’re even thinking of traveling to one by rideshare, you can be found out and go to prison. This is fucking scary.

The city of Portland, Oregon's plan to boycott Texas goods and services over its new abortion law could cost Texas companies millions of dollars a year, officials said Tuesday.
Heather Hafer, a spokeswoman with the Office of Management and Finance, said Portland has inked almost $35 million in contracts with Texas-based businesses over the last five years, The Oregonian/OregonLive reported.
She also said Portland employees have made 19 separate trips to the Lonestar State on official business since 2019, a number she said would have been significantly higher if travel hadn't been stopped for a year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Yes, a horse is a horse of course of course, and nobody can talk to a horse of course, unless of course that horse is the famous Mr. Joe Rogan! That’s right. The sheer amount of stupid that it takes to not get the vaccine and instead take medication meant for horses five times the size of a normal human is completely unfathomable at this point. I am all out of fucks to give. Yes, he got COVID and yes he’s treating it with that horse paste you’ve all heard about so much. That’s right – they are treating a respiratory infection with horse deworming medicine. I am not making this up. I really wish I was. The thing is though is that you cannot put a price on stupid. They claim using a malaria drug called Hydroxychloroquine, and an anti-parasite drug called Ivermectin, in small doses, could help treat coronavirus symptoms early on.
However, the Federal Food and Drug Administration reports using those drugs could be deadly.

In case people forgot we’re still in a pandemic, one that isn’t going away any time soon. But those of us who are doing the responsible thing are getting to leave the house and enjoy life again, even if it is cautiously. Then there are those of us who are doing the wrong thing. And that’s exactly what they are doing here – the wrong thing. And you know what? Is it wrong for me to wish that these people get the absolute worst possible case of it? Because they’re not really saving anybody and actually putting more people in harm’s way and giving the virus new opportunities to mutate. But this shit with school boards and vaccine mandates is absolute madness. I mean I can only watch it and provide somewhat humorous commentary on the situation. But this shit makes me angry. And it ain’t going away any time soon.
On Tuesday afternoon, protests popped up across the city of Las Vegas.
More than a thousand people gathered to push back on coronavirus-related mandates.
“We can make decisions for ourselves instead of someone making them for us,” said Melissa Brown who participated in the protest.
Many of those in attendance said they are not against people getting the vaccine but rather are just against it being forced onto them.
“We just want to emphasize it’s freedom of choice,” said Raisai Smith.

Seriously – what could go wrong? Plenty especially gather a thousand unvaccinated people in the middle of downtown Vegas and see what happens. It’s infuriating. And look, fuck these people. I can’t say that enough. Nobody is forcing you to do anything. We’re taking the vaccine and complying with health protocols because it’s the right thing to do! And this isn’t an isolated incident. It’s happening everywhere, these people are fired up and they’re not going away anytime soon.
A vaccination clinic in Georgia was shut down after anti-vaccination protesters harassed health care workers who were administering COVID-19 shots over the weekend, according to Georgia's top health official.
Kathleen Toomey, the commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Health, said she recently learned some health care workers helping to vaccinate members of the public against the virus have received threats and harassing emails. A mobile vaccination event held last weekend was forced to shutter after protesters aimed threats at the on-site workers, she said.
"This is wrong. This is absolutely wrong," Toomey said. "These people are giving their lives to help others and to help us in the state."
The people of Georgia "can do better," she added.
"We should be thanking these individuals for trying to get life-saving vaccines to our state," Toomey said.

Kathleen Toomey, the commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Health, said she recently learned some health care workers helping to vaccinate members of the public against the virus have received threats and harassing emails. A mobile vaccination event held last weekend was forced to shutter after protesters aimed threats at the on-site workers, she said.
"This is wrong. This is absolutely wrong," Toomey said. "These people are giving their lives to help others and to help us in the state."
The people of Georgia "can do better," she added.
"We should be thanking these individuals for trying to get life-saving vaccines to our state," Toomey said.

Court documents show the day after the attack Chansley called the FBI and confirmed he was involved. He told investigators he made the trip to Washington from Arizona at the request of former President Donald Trump.
“When Trump did not pardon him, he simply said that he was disappointed,” Watkins said.
The attorney wants Chansley to be released from jail while he is awaiting sentencing. Watkins said Chansley suffers from mental health issues and has helped authorities by providing photos and videos that authorities couldn’t otherwise get.

Radical religious-right activist Dave Daubenmire has teamed up with anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist Sherri Tenpenny to launch a new organization called The Christian Revolution that is designed to be a funding mechanism to support right-wing activists and causes around the country.
On Tuesday’s episode of his “Pass The Salt Live” program, Daubenmire said he intends to “badger” corporations into donating millions of dollars to his organization by accusing them of having an anti-Christian bias, boldly declaring that he expects to raise $100 million in the first month alone.
“This isn’t some fly-by-night, flimsy little thing we’re doing,” Daubenmire said. “This is big. And one of the directions we’re going to go as well is we’re gonna find out everybody that gave money to [Black Lives Matters]. “Don’t wear a mask if you don’t want to wear a mask,” Ortiz said during the interview, which was viewed more than 55,000 times on YouTube. “A mandate is a strong suggestion. It is not a law. Make them take you to jail. Stand up, and fight for your freedoms because this is all we have left. It scares me that people are willing to comply…that’s what the Jews did, and they got killed, man. It’s so scary. History is repeating itself right now, and people don’t see it because they think it is not going to happen here. It is happening, folks.

So if you can be addicted to Q Anon, can you be deprogrammed from it? That’s the billion dollar question on the table. Because Q Anon theories are tearing organizations, schools, businesses, and families apart. It’s entirely possible to deprogram someone from being in a cult. "Since the last time full classrooms congregated, a whole industry of misinformation has exploded online, spreading conspiracy theories on everything from the alleged steal of the presidential election, which Joe Biden won, to the prevalence of microchips in Covid-19 vaccines."
Citing studies showing that 15% of Americans believe QAnon conspiracies and 22% self-identify as anti-vaxxers, the CNBC piece describes the special challenges posed to educators "by the combination of misinformation on social media and a growing population of duped and radicalized parents."

Emergency crews responded Tuesday to an SUV that drivers spotted submerged in the Yakima River, but the driver claims he did it intentionally, according to the Yakima County Sheriff's Office.
At about 11 a.m., callers said they saw the blue Chevrolet Suburban in the water of the Yakima River.
Sheriffs deputies responded and found the vehicle in the water and the owner nearby.
According to police, the owner of the vehicle told them he had replaced the thermostat in the vehicle and needed to fill the radiator with water.
Deputies say the driver told them he intentionally drove the SUV into the water so that he could get water into the radiator.
The vehicle was towed out of the river..

A local police investigator reportedly said that 25-year-old Salman Mirza decided to use the epoxy instead of a condom and it may have complicated his health condition.
He was found unconscious a day after entering a hotel with his ex-fiancee. He was hospitalized but died.
Police officers told the Times of India that the pair had taken some drugs and then decided to have sex.
"Since they did not have any protection, they decided to apply the adhesive on his private parts to ensure that she does not get pregnant," the paper reported.

Police temporarily broke off the chase while Beverly darted through traffic, running multiple additional red lights and traveling "at well over 100 [miles per hour]." Gavin Newsom, said he doesn't think it's necessary for young people to get vaccinated against Covid-19 or for children to wear masks at school, and he vowed to repeal any mask or vaccine mandates for California's state workers if he is elected to replace the Democratic governor in the September 14 special election.
"I don't believe the science suggests that young people should be vaccinated. I don't believe the science suggests that young people should have to wear masks at school," Elder told CNN's Joe Johns during a wide-ranging interview Monday afternoon in Los Angeles.
Even though some pediatric ICUs faced a shortage of beds in areas that were hard hit by Covid-19 this summer, he went on to make the misleading assertion that "young people are not likely to contract the coronavirus, and when they do, their symptoms are likely to be mild, and they're not likely to be hospitalized, and certainly not likely to die."
The conservative talk radio host's statements stand in sharp contradiction to the patterns that many doctors and medical officials are warning about as the highly transmissible Delta variant has spread across the country, sickening more young people who are unvaccinated than the earlier phases of the virus last year. Jeffrey Fagan, a law professor at Columbia University, said of these numbers: “This is an extraordinarily dishonest rendering.” He and other criminal experts say Black people don’t disproportionately victimize whites, nor are they more inclined toward violent crimes.

Like it or not, slavery was legal,” Elder said. “Their legal property was taken away from them after the Civil War, so you could make an argument that the people that are owed reparations are not only just Black people but also the people whose ‘property’ was taken away after the end of the Civil War.”

That’s right – Larry Elder is the subject of a police investigation. I think that might be a built in feature of running MAGA. Because these people are proud assholes and they wear it on their sleeve. Which is why we cannot allow them to get ahold of my state and they’ve been coming for it for years. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating domestic violence accusations against California Republican gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder -- allegations he has denied.
"The department was made aware of domestic violence accusations against Larry Elder," an LAPD spokesperson told CNN, but they said additional details on the allegations would not be made public "due to the confidential nature of domestic violence investigations."
The police said in a statement to CNN that nothing would be made public until "allegations can be investigated thoroughly and submitted to the district attorney's office for filing consideration."
The accusations stem from an alleged 2015 incident described to CNN by Elder's then-fiancée and former employee Alexandra Datig.
