Watching Thursday Night Football. And it's being played in Florida.
It's the game I love and the horror I fear.
They are out there cheering and are not social distant. Guess will know what a mistake this is in 2-14 days.

(9,042 posts)Kinnick Stadium seats about 70,000. As the cameras panes the crowd I saw two TWO masks. There may have been more that I didnt see, but not many.

(31,805 posts)Will anyone revisit this? These predictions about events that are outside have been going on and on for months and months and nothing significant has been tied to them. Of course when nothing happens then people say "Well, who is measuring it?" as if the CDC and others are ignoring these things. There were countless posts about massive deaths as a result of Sturgis. Where are they? SD has a Covid daily death rate of less than one a day.

(2,475 posts)A good example of packed crowds in the stands and we didn't hear anything about massive outbreaks. The optics of these stadium games aren't good but they don't appear to be super spreader events .

I know the normal answer is that the "counts are fixed", but I follow the stats and have seen this in a number of other states. And it is quite clear globally, and I have yet to hear the answer. Someday we will understand it (I hope).

If so, there might not be a surge from it.
