UPDATE: It appears Florida is now the only state not participating in this federal program to feed kids in low-income families.
Every other state has applied.
@GovRonDeSantis hasn't, even though it gives $375 for food for each kid, no strings attached.
DeSantis urged to seek up to $820 million in food aid for children
A spokesperson implies that its not needed since the state has reopened schools, but federal guidance states that its not a qualifying factor.

TALLAHASSEE More than four months after Florida first could have applied for up to $820 million in food aid, its still unclear if state officials are seeking the money which is enough to feed 2.1 million children in low income homes.
More than 80 advocacy groups, including the food bank Feeding Tampa Bay, signed on to a letter Monday urging DeSantis to request the federal aid.
Gov. Ron DeSantis office hasnt answered repeated questions from the Times/Herald over the past week about the aids status.
The money comes with no mandates or required matching funds. At least 42 other states, including those led by Republican governors, have tapped into the extra money.
*snip*
The cruelty is the point.....

You give away free food, these kids might become accustomed to it. You know, expecting to eat might become a 'thing.'
Jesus weeps, again.
How do these people look at themselves in the mirror each morning??
Maybe (just spitballing here) they have no reflection.
