24. USPS workers are exempt so why shouldn't federal LEO's be exempt?

Why are the 600,000+ USPS workers exempt from the vaccine mandate? The President has the power directly to mandate vaccines as they are US government workers. I don't understand how/why they are exempt and it undermines the seriousness of the issue.
