His new party would only have to shave off a few points around the margins.

the Canadian federal debate tonight. I have not read it but thought it would be interesting so I looked it up. BC is a province that typically elects people from all parties so I think they would be fair. Since Andrew Yang was such a supporter of the idea, I post it here.

to keep baby overstimulated, awake, and kickin' doesn't sound like the way for Mama to get much sleep. To be sure, I've escaped the virus and did really appreciate the stimulus checks to spread around our local community during Lock Down prison - how Yang's direct payments (does he still advocate that?) We got every $'s worth of heating and cooling bills; the North 40 Inches got planted, and my cup ran over with lettuce, chard, and cukes; the tomatos not so much - it also helped keep some of small restaurants open for at least take-in meals; even managed to pay off some important payment plan debts, but I must admit I had no problem with the leisure time--that was good for the cooped up cabin fever as well, but the car is still broken and a new surge is upon the land.

Good for Joe for strong bold action on the vaccine and testing issues!

Not sure I like Yang's ambitions for the Presidency but I did listen last primary - it just doesn't spell unity to me...and going after the youthful tech savvy progressive(s)? is still likely to split some away from solidarity and attract few, if any rational conservatives and/or nut case GQPs.

It doesn't seem like it based on his presidential and NY mayoral efforts.

Yang is selling a book. He'll fade.

He lost the presidential nomination by a huge margin, and then lost the nomination in NY for mayor badly as well. He's fine until people get to question him up close and in person. Which means he has zero future in Democratic politics.

We tend to want to climb in every aspect of your present life, your past life, and actually inspect your social validity... not to mention question the viability of your platform, motives and interactions with all of our various fractions.

We're basically fact based a-holes who don't want pipe dreams without peer reviewed analysis proving you're point. He couldn't hang with that - I get it, we're harsh - and now he's back to marketing himself for profit. I deeply disrespect the way he chose to make his money here, it shows how little respect he has for the rest of us out there and what harm he could inflict on us.

Personally, I'm over pseudo politicians pulling stunts like this for attention. He's never even been elected!

The platform of the new party is unknown, and will be tied to the launch of Yang's book.
It's a stunt! Showboating. Grandstanding. It's part of a book-launch gimmick... he just wants more book sales. He's a con-man just like all other "liberals" and "progressives" who refused to be loyal to the Democratic party.
