I told my wife "Tr**p better not fuck around with this. He needs to make unpopular decisions right now to nip this in the bud, or else we are fucked".
I got a little emotional today watching President Biden's speech.
We have a leader who doesn't fuck around.

(52,116 posts)That was the moment we all realized just how truly stupid he really was.
Natural disasters are gold to politicians. All he had to do was say we're gonna beat this thing that's attacking America and then let the experts do their thing.
He very likely would have been re-elected had he done what every mayor knows to do in an emergency.
But no, he's too stupid even for that.
Tommy Carcetti
(43,153 posts)Tremendously experienced and qualified, appealed to Democrats and Republicans alikethe Former Office Occupant could have easily rode Faucis coattails and taken credit for bringing him on board.
Instead he became insanely jealous of him and his popularity and sought to undermine him at every turn.
Because hes a petty narcissist.

"So promoting hysteria over this virus, when Americans won't even take basic precautions against the most serious and threatening virus circulating currently is hardly the most responsible protection message."
"Surgical facemasks won't protect you. You need N-95 HEPA filter masks.
FYI
That said, you are jumping to conclusions right now. Right now, flu is more likely to infect you."
" No problem where I live,
DU hysteria is always fun."
"Mad Cow was gonna get us too
I think they should compare their assumptions to the extensive data they have on flu epidemics. And their hyperbolic predictions about chicken epidemics. Viruses mutate. Even worst case, it will be a different epidemic in 8 weeks.
Meantime push the panic button."
"I agree, that's unnecessary hyperbole
If people would take the numbers he's stating and do a tiny bit of googling on their own, they'll see this is like a very dangerous flu virus, but not even close to being as communicable as smallpox. It's not a fucking apocalypse."
"I am not getting on the bandwagon.
Stupid people are already spreading BS on social media and it is not helping. In San Diego someone posted a fake newspaper report that there was a case at a certain high school and half the students believed it and spread the fake word on Fakebook."
"The common influenza
Results in many, many, more infections and deaths. Is this being overhyped?"
