Abbott was struck down by the gods of irony shortly after writing this tweet

Greg Abbott

Biden’s vaccine mandate is an assault on private businesses.

I issued an Executive Order protecting Texans’ right to choose whether they get the COVID vaccine & added it to the special session agenda.

Texas is already working to halt this power grab.

Others get to choose whether they will still be employed. They cannot cause an unsafe workplace.

Federal Employee Vax Mandate.

OH! From Wiki

Which states has the most Federal Employees? As of September 2013, California has 171,947 (8.3%) federal employees; the District of Columbia has 155,943 (7.5%) federal employees; Virginia has 152,360 (7.4%) federal employees; Texas has 143,087 (6.9%) federal employees; and Maryland has 135,002 (6.5%) federal employees.

Interesting #'s But that's 2013. We need an updated number.

Here's from 2020:

In looking at the federal employed numbers by location outside of the Capital area, the ten states with the largest number of federal employees are:

1. California – 172,553
2. Virginia – 155,682
3. Maryland – 149,673
4. Texas – 148,453
5. Florida – 99,212

6. Georgia – 80,042
7. New York – 68,579
8. Pennsylvania – 68,300
9. Washington – 60,250
10. Ohio – 54,483

That's the right he is protecting and the virus agrees.....

"I issued an Executive Order protecting Texans’ right to choose whether they get the COVID."

You can choose to catch a deadly virus but not much else.

Does this mandate apply to women, too? I'm confused. Didn't he just issue a mandate that said that women don't have the right to choose what they do with their own bodies? He need so clarify this crap!

11. ok, thx. The RW has been using that for some time, but they think it is logical

They've used it so much that the irony has worn thin and the stupidity of the statement overwhelms.

RW says "right to choose" does not apply to a woman because her fetus at six-weeks has some kind of electrical pulse activity and to them the fetus is a full-fledged person, not a part of the woman's body.

RW says "right to choose" because they think that personal liberty trumps all considerations of public health and the safety of the all the people. They selfishly think they can endanger all who can't get vaccinated.

They purposely forget that it is called "public" health for a good reason.

I haven't seen how Abbott has been "struck down", though. Thanks, but it's okay, not important.

9. You mean after Abbott's own 'power grab' he supports the 'right to choose' unprotected COVID?

That man has issues too deep and too numerous to list.

And this while complaining about 'mandate' on private business after his own mandate on female bodies.

I mean ISSUES! Projection is one thing, irony another, and abusing irony takes it to a new level!
