Same reason Nixon went free.

This country can't stomach prosecuting a President.

Unocal was involved in domestic and global energy projects. Unocal was one of the key players in the CentGas consortium, which attempted to build the Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline to run from the Caspian area, through Afghanistan, to the Indian Ocean, at a time after the Taliban siege of Kabul in 1996.

the asinine Robert E. Lee was a noble hero garbage..Lee was a traitor, a vile racist, a cruel slave owner, a Civil War revisionist...as for 9/11..because Bush/Cheney ignored the the in-your-face bin Ladin to attack the US intel, our nothing-to-see-here defenses were down and the US was breached...and this horrific breach allowed Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Fleischer/Rove/Rice to play on our fears and wage a series of catastrophic wars as revenge for their benign neglect...and now Bush(aka Alfred E. Newman) is a statesman, a uniter, a tough guy?...because of Bush we got Trump and because of Trump we got 1/6...and today we are swimming in a sea of revisionist 9/11 bullshit...

It matters a great deal and over time more will be revealed about the events and the wicked men who capitalized on it.

The official version in Germany used to be “cast in stone” buts it’s quite different now.

forever is a long, long time.

(Already think that it is well established that some 'capitalized' - and, IMO, that is still miles different from 'allowed' or engineered. But, eventually, both will be part of the public record.)
