This headline made me want to barf.

Seriously? Before Trump, no one did more to divide this country than this asshole. His 2004 re-election campaign was about nothing but fear, constantly trying to scare the shit out of people with the impending threat of the scary brown men from that other continent and smearing his opponent as flip-flopping sissy who was incapable of protecting this country (which never made the least bit of sense to anyone with a working brain since Bush was, you know, president when the worst terrorist attack in this country’s history happened).

Fuck you, Dubya.

"naked appeal to anger, fear, and resentment." I wasn't going to listen to him but figured it would be short-- so I did,

No Bush* fan here, but I was surprised to see him rather directly call TFG out for his politics of today. Knowing how that will "cook" TFG and cause him no end of distress is a pleasant thought on a poignant day.

That he seems decent in comparison to Trumpsky does not exonerate him.

He's merely no longer the worst pretzeldent in my lifetime.

quite the series. The power has never resided in any one of them. It's in those who brought them to the dance that pull the strings, and yank their chains. Orders come from those who move the money, make the deals, write the laws and fund what is needed to control their universe. The others come and go, while the real wealth and power stays intact with all its tentacles running through every aspect of American life and industry. Through it all the distortion of history begins instantaneously.
