The problem that we as a nation face now is that much of this country is operating in a separate reality than the one you and I operate in. In their world they are modern day founding fathers fighting for the soul of the nation like a 21st century John Adams. Vaccine mandates will only fuel their resolve and I fear that some will resolve to violence in the belief it’s a new age concord and Lexington. In this world after 18 months people will still say masks don’t protect you and actually can make you MORE sick than without. That the vaccine is killing people left and right and even if it’s not it’s better to let your natural immunity build up a tolerance anyhow. In this reality climate change doesn’t exist while record heat, drought, hurricanes and wildfires rage on. Voter fraud is rampant even without evidence. A nuclear treaty with Iran was a terrible idea and the white Christian is the truly persecuted individuals in the country while the savior Trump is saving us all from a socialist hellhole. I’m so done with it, but at the same time am resigned to the reality that this is America’s new reality and I don’t know what can change it.

The only radio available. Finding a liberal radio outside of the boring NPR is scarce. Even where I live in SF there is barely any liberal radio. We used to have this progressive station Green 960 but after President Obama was elected clear channel got rid of it. And unfortunately in those red areas of our country only right wing radio and Sinclair TV are the only media outlets to spread their propaganda. Until the media ownership rules are changed it’s going to get worst.

Unless one pays for satellite radio, just going up and down the dial finds nothing but rightwing fascists spewing openly, and rightwing fascists disguised as "christian" programming.

Driving through Kansas, you're never out of range of at least two Limbaugh stations and 3-4 "christian" stations. The phony religious ones all sound a little different, to appeal to different listeners, but it's the same universal fascist message.

7. 5 years ago we went to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia

We rented a car at Dulles drove down and then returned to DC for Few days. The radio was awful right wing and Christian radio. We had trouble finding even current music. Our son finally told us to turn off the radio and we drove back to DC with no radio on.

Now when I rent a car In another state I pay extra for Sirius.
