"This is my tribute to 911. No records of the view from inside the towers on that day exist, but this is the image that came to my mind on that day. It's a macabre scene, but one I think is a valid interpretation of the events. It's the last moment of American innocence."

I don't get the impression he has a connection to the WTC.

His talent appears to be at the Velvet Elvis level

subject matter and composition aside. This looks like a cheap advertisement in a 1950s magazine: the client couldn't get Rockwell so they went with a knock-off.

Typical GOP jerk, Paxton. Nearly 400 citizens of other countries also perished in the attack on our country, from about ninety countries. Any attack on our democracy must not be forgotten. It’s time for asking why.

When I looked at the picture more closely, it appears to be that they may be indoors, at water cooler and there is a bag of donuts on a chair.
I have no idea if WTC had ceiling to floor windows, but I think that is what is portrayed here.

Still it is crappy...red cups...can't tell whether they're inside or outside..Just plain old bad art

The window is all wrong, however — not the height, but the width. Nearly all windows in the original towers were tall, but very narrow, so you would always feel physically supported while looking out a window.

As I recall, this was because architect I. M. Pei had a fear of heights.
