59% of Republicans Say Believing TFG Won the Election Is an Important Part of Being republican

This is sad. TFG supporters are very stupid people and proud of being stupid

A new poll from CNN finds that a majority of Republicans think that believing Donald Trump won in 2020 (which he did not) is an important tenet for being a Republican.

The poll, released on Sunday, finds the Republicans polled almost evenly divided between whether Trump should be the nominee in 2024.

51 percent said they would have a better chance with him leading the ticket, while 49 percent said another nominee would be better.

The poll also includes a list of items for people in both parties to say how important it is to what being a Republican or Democrat means to them.

2. It's not reality or evidence that matters, it's simply attesting to a particular belief system.

I can’t imagine what instilled that kind of thinking in them.

more realistic people in that party. All the recounts that were done & NONE showed their candidate won. I guess they don't believe in science OR the people who did the recounts, even though most of the States that did recounts are led by a Repug.

I've asked myself how I would respond if Clinton, Obama or Biden had done the same things as DJT. I don't believe I would still be loyal. Not that I'd ever vote for a Repug, but I'd chose either wouldn't vote for President, or I'd opt for the Indy.

For a party who claims to be against cancel culture, they're really into cancelling out Republicans who are not like themselves. All the Republicans they respected in the past are now Rhinos while this clown is the supposed one true Republican.

they're trained to declare loyalty to everything Republican.

In this case, "How important is each of the following to what being a Republican means to you?" was asked several times with various endings before "Believing that Donald Trump won the 2020 election."

Interestingly, while 59% said very (36%) or somewhat (23%) important, 40% said Not too (15%) or not at all (25%) important.

Effectively everyone divided into one of these baked-in groups with big differences at the extremes.

Just for context, Pew did a report on political affiliation this past spring. 24% self-identify as R.
So, it's only 14.25%.
That said, that's an enormous number of people for a cult. And, this is a cult!
