I've often wondered why chiropractors aren't lumped in with the rest of snake oil medicine. Money and a strong lobby? Fine print maybe like other alternative "cures."

This seems like a simple thing for the school districts to say "fuck off".

But chiros shake in terror if a parent asks for a note to keep a student out of school for a couple of days "for fear of losing license to practice.," according to one I asked.

If he's into quack medicine, it's no surprise that he's also into quack politics.

some legitimacy but not anything beyond physical therapy. I do know a lot of people that swear by them and admittedly I have no experience.

I would assume Florida schools have an MD they call in for various purposes. If they can ask for a second opinion, the answer to this crap is to require anyone submitting a note written by a doctor of chiropractic to submit their kid to a second exam by an MD. Since it's pretty obvious these DCs are just selling their signatures, few to none of their notes would be justifiable.
