(32,074 posts)I'd love to hear his answer, but I doubt he has one. If he did he likely does not understand what the fuck he is talking about. And, no. It most certainly does not "change" one's mRNA. This is just the most recent iteration of the "It changes your DNA" bullshit, since it has now been explained to these idiots that the vaccine has nothing to do with DNA.
P.S., To the idiot Gainesville City worker, you are more likely to leave your spawn motherless by not being vaccinated. FAR more likely. But, have at it, you dummy. I feel sorry for your kids.

It's speculated that the earliest life forms may have been RNA based, hence "RNA World".
So even if it did "change your RNA", your RNA is temporary and ephemeral, and is not a part of your actual genetic code so "changing" it wouldn't change anything about you.

These mandates are overreaches and they will be really destructive to a lot of good people. So were on board to fight back both in terms in any of the government, with our law being applied and the fines, but then anything involving the private, were going to be providing protections for people because people should not face a choice of losing their jobs, said DeSantis at a campaign-style news conference on Monday. [snip]
Gainesville spokesperson Shelby Taylor said the city stood by its decision.
It is our belief that as an employer we retain the right to require vaccination as a condition of employment, Taylor said in an email.
At a news conference, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, a Democrat, said that he believed many of the decisions the Republican governor makes are politically motivated and that the county would deal with DeSantis threat, either through the courts or another manner.
