8. The amount of lying, cheating, brown-nosing, and backstabbing in big business

is so well known in American culture, that it has been satirized for years. Back in the 50's there was a satirical book "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" that became a hit musical in the early 60's and a movie a few years later. Romney epitomizes this unethical culture, which apparently is still alive today.

9. The self-deception runs so deep, its like a part of the brain never develops

its not just mormons, though they are the easy target, but any of the cultish religions that you see it in.

When we think about other people, we naturally imagine them as thinking like ourselves, having the same self awareness and reasoning processes, the same sense and standards for experiencing the world around them. Watching Romney is like watching an alien form - he is different, and lacking in something that I would consider to be an essentially human trait.

Self deception carried to the extreme becomes a form of self-inflicted brain damage.

you have to be a sociopath. Unfortunately in the U.S., the more fucked you are (like Romney), the more success you can have. It's seen almost as a badge of honor to be thought of as a cut-throat back-stabbing piece of shit.

It is most likely that unless you live in a left-wing neighborhood, 9 out of your 10 neighbors don't give a shit that Romney has nothing but contempt for them. They don't care about the GOP's war on women, or any of the atrocities the GOP is promising us.

Think about that.
