Joe Biden's $3.5T dollar budget over ten years is less than half the present defense budget....

...over the same ten years.

It helps to have the right message and to put it into perspective. Otherwise, people think $3.5 trillion is the most money our government has ever spent.

it obscures some realities. I think someone used it to make a small budget cut or tax increase sound bigger. Then it caught on with new spending.


Problem is, even Biden’s budget includes an increase in militant budget, although a modest increase. Right or wrong, doesn’t appear to be an appetite for military budget cuts.
