"If you insist on refusing the vaccine, that is your right. But please do not bring God into it."

PAYWALL: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/06/opinion/religious-exemptions-vaccine-mandates.html

“My plea to my fellow Christians: If you insist on refusing the vaccine, that is your right. But please do not bring God into it.”

Curtis Chang, a consulting faculty member at Duke Divinity School, writing in The New York Times that there is no theological basis for a religious exemption to the COVID vaccine for Christians.

saying God would send angels to save him. Jesus said you shouldn't test God.

If these Christians really believed in the teachings of Christ they would not be playing this game.

If the son of god won't jump from a building, why would a mere mortal sinner think it is okay to test god by flaunting the risk of a virus, or handling rattlers, or relying only on prayer to heal.

Mr Chang knows good and well that what is supported by theology doesn't stop the various flavors of Christianity from having their own cherry picking of the Bible.
