General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsDo ER's have a way to determine if COVID patients are vaccinated other than the card or their
word? These COVIDiots won't think twice about lying if it comes down to rationing care and taking the vaccinated first.
If it was up to me and a COVIDiot was in ICU and any other patient needed that bed, they would jerk it's ass out of there and send them somewhere else, or not.

(4,448 posts)But having anti-bodies doesn't mean that you are vaccinated.
Quite a few people have covid anti-bodies either from having Covid, or having brushes with it that didn't develop into a full blown case.

(92,060 posts)wouldnt be too difficult to extract that data if they wanted it
I suspect that data is also transmitted to the CDC because that is how they determine the number who have been vaccinated

(933 posts)I scheduled with the state and with a provider hospital. The records showed up for me in the Docket app on my iPhone as recorded by the state. I did not enter that information. There is also the Excelsior app if you live in NY. Likely, there are other apps.
I guess its possible to receive a vaccine that fell off a truck but I needed two forms of ID, including a picture ID.

(1,823 posts)What I mean by in state facility is there isnt currently a national database. You need to be in the state where you have the vaccine for it to be accessible information by health care workers.

(102,105 posts)but not all did so in an effective or comprehensive manner--nor have some states put any needed emphasis on making sure that all providers are complying. Most states did a fairly good job with childhood vaccines because of push from schools, though.

(102,105 posts)(like the Colorado Immunization Information Portal, CIIP), those vaccine records are searchable with the proper identifying information that hospitals likely would be authorized to request from the patient.
All states (health departments) were provided funding several years ago to develop such a registry for childhood vaccines, but not all have extended it to adult vaccines, unfortunately. And even those that do may not uniformly get compliance from physicians and other vaccine providers in keeping the information updated.
It does seem to work pretty well in states that have made it a priority, though.
