Thousands of Sarasota parents seek doctor's note exempting kids from school mask mandate
VENICE – Thousands of people showed up Sunday for a mask-exemption event, where families could get a note from a doctor medically clearing their children from wearing a mask in public schools.
The Hollow, a wedding venue in Venice, hosted the waiver mill on its property in a rural area of the county.
The event included a cookout, a visit from former President Donald Trump's original national security adviser Michael Flynn and armed guards. But the main attraction was the two doctors giving out mask exemptions.
Sarasota Schools Spokesman Craig Maniglia said the district did not yet know how many new forms were turned in Monday, but they were bracing for up to 2,000.

However, I think Sarasota could designate one school as a superspreader and send all the maskless kids and teachers there.

keep a child from wearing a mask, medically? I would imagine that the number of children for whom would be legitimately exempt would have to be infinitesimally small.
