AITA?

Some people in my family are huge professional tennis fans and were discussing Novak Djokovic losing his temper at the U.S. Open again and just stopping himself from hitting a ball at the net in anger as a ball boy was clearing it after hitting a line judge in the throat last year while having a hissy fit. I said professional tennis was a joke for allowing these overpaid players to throw tantrums like 5 year olds on the court. They tried to explain to me that these people operate on a different level and I just don't understand their emotions when they are upset, they said Djokovic just needs to talk to someone about his anger. I said tennis needs to get control over their players that act like children and Djokovic should have been banned from tennis after he hit that line judge during a temper tantrum because there was no reason for it to have happened.

Now five of them are all butt hurt and having their own tantrums because I attacked their passion and their heroes and are even more upset I won't take this seriously.

I was rooting for him, just my vegan bias.

I also agree sanctions for that assault on that tennis judge should have been so severe that most players would never even slip in their composure slightly ever after.

these outbursts are minor. They're also magnified by the fact that tennis players are alone on the stage. Not excusing bad behavior, just pointing this out....

Hitting a line judge in the throat while having a tantrum like a 5 year old is minor? He should have received a life time ban for that assault.
